overdrive alternator pulley

I'm still having not so good charging issues. Did the big 3, reman alternator, n cleaned all ground contacts.. still hanging out around 12.7v even while driving. Someone said it could be because of the cam but it was before the cam swap too. So would the overdrive alt pulley help at all?

Re: overdrive alternator pulley

Your battery is 12.7v? Is that what the datalog says? try a voltmeter. My datalogs always say 12.8v but the alternator is 14+. Try the voltmeter on the output terminal of the alternator while driving around and let us know the numbers.

ALso if it is higher like he says, then see where it is getting lost by voltage drops or bad connections/grounds.

Ok I checked it with the handheld tester at oreilly's today and it read 14.09 and 75 amps. But with ac on it dropped to like 65 amps
