over heating

Hay I need some info please I have an 96 lt1 that over is over heating in like 5min replace the thermostat and it seems to be no air is in the lines the water pump is not leaking from the weep hole and there is no leaks anywhere else but the coolant comes back out of the radiator cap also my fans are not comming on at all could it be the water pump and what about the fans any info will help

Get a hydro carbon test kit at the cheapy auto parts store.

What it the temperature (in numbers) that you feel is "overheating"?

Have you checked the radiator cap to insure it holds 18psi?

the temp goes all the way into the red then the check gages light comes on?

Also coolant is comming out of the bleeder screws

I usually leave the radiator cap off when I start to add coolant with it running. The problem is it starts to overflow and come out once it warms up. Have you tried starting it with cap on and seeing if that helps? Mine usually gets real high on the dash temp and goes down after a few seconds. After that its fine. Give a little more back ground on what happened. Did it over heat while driving and did you do anything recently to the car?
