OTVC Wires

I have put on headers awhile back, and now it is time to replace my wires, but I am wondering if I should go OTVC route. I remember Elite SPark Plug Wires Company having some issues with delivery and timeliness in the past.

Should I go OTVC and make my own? I have the measurements.

or Should I buy them from Elite?

or should I just get stock replacements and be super super careful again??

I'm not trying to turn this into another Elite bashing thread, but if you do a search, they have taken alot of heat due to very poor customer service. Its to the point where he doesn't even post on here anymore to my knowledge. I would just buy the OTVC kit and cut your own, that is what I will do when it comes to that point in the future.

i totally agree thats what i did with my last Z its simple enough to do and you make sure that the wires run how you want them and that they work

Re: OTVC Wires

Do not purchase from elite. Not only is the customer service bad, but the quality of the wires isnt the best either. I was lucky enough to actually recieve my wires within 2 weeks of ordering them, but they only lasted about a year before they all began to arc. Lots of others have reported wires arcing as well.

If you want to go OTVC, I'd build a set of Taylors or MSD's.

Re: OTVC Wires

I ordered from elite, last winter and got my wires this summer. The wires were great quality but the customer service isnt even there. My advice is to stay away from elite far far away!

Re: OTVC Wires

Yeah, thanks for all the input. I had done searches and read the negatives on Elite, but I had been away and was wondering if they had turned it around.

Does anyone know about the custom made kits? I can make my own looms, or buy them off of OLDGOAT on eBay, but are these kits easy to use/reliable??

Re: OTVC Wires

If you used the U.S. Mail for your your transaction, notify the post office of this because it is a felony to use the mail to defraud! Also contact your local Police dept of this. If you used a credit card for this purchase they can be of help in resolving these issues. You must notify the seller by certified mail, return receipt, with a copy going to your police dept. with defined time (ie. say you want to have it resolved within 10 days).Money back or product delivered.
