The water pump went out on my 97 Formula w/77k miles. I drove it for about a mile to the shop after it went out and it was pouring antifreeze when I got there. the shop replaced the pump but didn't tell me it needed to be replaced or I would have had the optispark replaced at the same.

I picked the car up yesterday and everything is running fine, no issues at all with the car, the question is for anyone who had the water pump go out and didn't have the opti replaced, how long was it before the optispark started showing signs it was going out from having all the antifreeze dumped on it?
I am a little concerned about it right now since I have a trip planned in 2 weeks. I am going to drive the car daily for the next week to see if anything happens.

being that your car is vented i would say your fine. Just drive the car till you feel something wrong then fix it
