Optispark question

I've done a search on Optispark and have read many posts but don't see my particular problem. I'm wondering if it is the optispark.

My car (1995 Z28) has gotten to where it must be cranked for several minutes to get it to start. It will begin by hitting on a cylinder or two or three and then all of a sudden it will fire right up. When it does start it runs fine except it misses at higher revs. (5000+)

It used to only be hard to start when it was rainy. Now it's all the time.

The car has about 85K on it. I'm guessing it's my turn for an optispark. Still has original plugs and wires. I don't have a water leak as best I can tell. Any confirmation or other suggestions welcome.

Do your plugs/wires! Mine ran like crap when I first bought the car. Then I swapped out the original delco plugs, and went from 12 mpg to 20 mpg. There really is no positive soign for the opti dieing.

Agreed, try plugs and wires, especially the coil wire before you start in on the opti.
