Optispark Install question

Ok this might be a stupid question but I want to ask anyway. I have a 94 LT1. Is it possible to put on the optispark 180 degrees off or will it go on only one way. I have it on now. I just hope I did it right.

i belive it will only go on one way, but your 94 could be different than my 96.

Ya it could be. I dont know I have the small driveshaft that splines into the cam gear and into the optispark. I just wonder if it is possible to get that on 180 degrees off

Once you have the opti bolted on, start the engine without the water pump still removed. You can run the motor to ensure that the opti is on correctly, then install the pump.

It can be installed incorrectly at any amount of degrees off-not just 180°. It is indexed to be properly installed only one way, though.
