Optispark drive pin length

What is the length in inches of a stock 95 lt1 drive pin on the camshaft?

when i bought my car it barely drove so i took it to a dealership to get it fixed. it looks like they drilled out the center of the pin and put a screw in it to make it longer. i just bought a used cam off a guy on this forum and i received it and the pin is a lot shorter than the one the dealership made. on the cam i just got today ( which i was told was out of a 95) it is 5/16 out the front of cam. I need to know what the correct length is and if it is short what can i do?

On a vented setup the pin should be about .700" long (from the face of the cam).

On a non-vented setup the pin is about .300" long. You will have to have the pin pulled out and replaced. Any competent machine shop can do this for you.
