Optispark converstion harness problems

I have an interesting problem with the new optispark conversion harness Jason Cromer sent with the opti conversion kit... The opti side is correct but the part that plugs into the harness is different in one small way. The posts seem to line up however there is an extra plastic runner on the inside of the new plug that prevents me from attaching it to the factory harness - whats going on - i was going to dremel out that ridge for i believe it will fit perfect if thats gone... any thoughts?

One more thing

The Starter has a small purple wire going to it, i get that - there are 2 black wires with that wire bundle look like grounds - after some research i think they are they PCK grounds - do they BOTH go to the engine block or does one go to the engine (Dipstick bolt? ) and one to the place where the purple wire is? I think both to the engine block - just making sure.

Thanks!

Re: Optispark converstion harness problems

There should be one black/white wire that goes to a ground lug below the #6 spark plug. One purple wire to the starter. I don't know what other wire you have, unless it is the one that goes to the knock sensor (dark blue), but it would have a large plug on it.
If you know the year of your car, you should share that information.

That's why you give the info about the car. 1993s have unheated O2s and one wire.
