I just brought my car to a mechanic and had the codes read. I was afraid my optispark might be going bad. The car threw a code for the distributor. I'm just wondering if this means the sensor is bad or if it's the whole distributor. How much have you guys had to pay to have your optispark's replaced? Parts and labor?

 

I was quoted roughly $1000 or they didn't even want to mess with it. I ended up buying an AC Delco for about $400 and doing it myself. It wasn't easy, but I saved several hundered dollars.
