Opti Swap, have some questions.

I'm currently doing some work on my 93 Z28 and I'm going to go ahead and swap the opti. I have everything I need, but I did have a question about the little cam pin that sticks out of the 95+ Cam to drive the opti. Now, I know the pin on the 92-94 Cams are much shorter (and hence can't drive the opti), but I don't really want to pull the cam and replace it with a stock one from a 95-97 LT1. I may be getting a CC305, but that's a big maybe. Anyways, my question is, can I just remove the Pin from a 95 - 97 Cam and put it on my 93 Cam or CC305? Thanks,

Yes you can swap the pins, but the 93 cam is not compatible with a vented opti.

You may have missed it in the swap info you got, but your cam will not work unless the front of it is drilled out to accomodate the vented opti drive. It's not just a matter of the dowel pin. That's why most people don't do the swap unless they are already replacing the cam.

Yea, I figured that out right after I posted (About the 93 Cam not being able to take the 95 Opti) but will the pin be able to be put into another cam? Like a CC305?

If the CC305 does not have the longer pin already, you can have a shop put a longer one in (easiest way, IMO).
