opti spark question

opti spark question

im in need of an opti-spark for my 94 LT1. were is the cheapest place to get one. also for those who have bought theirs off autozone or orielys what do you ask for? the distributor cap or the distribitor, or do you ask for something else.

please any help will be appreciated. i need the opti asap.

GMPartsDirect.com or jason cromer is your best bet. If you water pump hasnt been recently replaced, get a NEW one of those too- no Remanufactured ones, unless you want to do another opti swap.

The Opti from Autozone comes in two parts. You can get either the cap and rotor or the distributor. I haven't had any problems with mine which I purchased there.

nice cars orionSPL, by the way did you purchase both the cap and rotor and distributor or did you just purchase one or the other.

Thanks. I purchased both diagnosed what was wrong and took the cap and rotor back cause I didn't need it. Also one thing I forgot, you are going to need a deep well reverse torx to get that thing apart if you buy it from Autozone. I have only been able to find one small enough from the Snap-On. It's a GM distributor socket. The size is E4 and Snap-On part number is STLE40.
