opti questions... just replaced no start

I have a 1996 Camaro SS and I just replaced the opti in it.. I just tried to fire it up and I could not get the car to fire. Sounds like it is pushing air out of the intake manifold? Is it possible that I just did something simple and don't need to tear it all apart? Maybe spark plug wires not on right?

Thanks,

Justin

What made you change the opti in the first place?

Did you index the opti correctly during the install? Plug wires can also be put on in the wrong places.

i have a 1996 camaro z28. just replaced the opti on it. before u tear the car back down. check for vaccum leaks. and check ur firing order. if that isnt the cause. then u might have not got the dowel pin in the right place. i made that mistake too. had to tear it back down. made sure the opti was on right. and it fired right up. hope this helps.

Is your battery fully charged and everything completely hooked up correctly?
