opti question

how exactly would an msd opti 1 be effected if it did not have the rubber o-ring seal between the cap and distributor? does the unit come with one in it already? or do you have to use the one in the bag they supply with it? thanks

Mine was not on the opti but in a seperate container. I would guess it would be open to air, dirt & oil.

Unhappy

Go to a thread posted on this forum titled "Serious oil in opti, pic's inside, HELP!" and read my post there.

Bottom line.......you need to have an airtight seal between the distributor cap and a vented Optispark base unit, or.................bad things will happen.

Be sure to use the "new" square O-Ring MSD is now providing.
