Opti? Please help!!

I drove my car last night and noticed at Idle it is rough and unstable. When you leave a stop sign I noticed a slight miss under normal acceleration. At idle no miss felt. It is a 1997 trans am with a LT1. It has a new coil and MSD box. The wires and plugs are like a year old. Car has 36,500 miles on it and has a original opti. What do you guys and gals thing? If it is a opti can I just change the cap and rotor or do I need a new dist? Thanks for any info.

you might wanna check and make sure your headers didnt burn through a plug wire, that problem sounds more like a wire to me

Doesnt sound like opti., but if you can ask anyone, never just replace your cap and rotor. Do the whole opti. at once, it'll save you time down the road.

No codes at all. Noticed it only does it when the car is hot. Cold car runs fine.
