Opti O-Rings

The opti I picked up was missing one of the o-rings that go on the shaft. The only gasket set in town didn't include any replacements either. The closest sized one I could find is about 1-2 mm larger (or a c-hair for a more accurate term).

It's a really tight fit. Should I just force the opti in, or remove the larger O-ring and just run with one? The old opti didn't even have any o-rings on it. It won't take much force, with some oil to help. Not really sure what I should do here.

My wifes 96 has been missing one O ring for about 6 months. I assume they are there to keep the spline from moving around and causing wear to the shaft or the coupling.

The felpro timing gasket set available at most auto parts stores has a set included.
