Opti HELP !!!!!

I have a 1994 z28 I was wondering if I could replace my opti with a vented opti or should i just purchase the original one for the car.

If you want to convert to a vented opti, there are many things you have to do (including swapping the cam, if it is stock).

Thanks for the reply shoebox I just rebuild the motor
replaced stock cam with the

comp cam part # 07-304-8 266in 276ex @50 210in ex220
valve lift in .500 .510
also should I change the stock injectors
11:1 compression motor stock heads with mild port a set of tes headers and
3:73 gears

None of the above.

You should buy one of the vented 92-94 alternatives (Dynaspark or MSD)

I just returned my MSD the other day. They did not maker the rotor correct height, it rubbed terrible. I could not get 1000rpm out of it, had to give it 1/4 throttle to get it at a consistent running idle speed. I have just bought 2 used GM opti's, wouldn't go any other way(especially MSD yet).
