My opti is going bad, I'm not going to even waste time asking you guys "if" it is b/c I know its going. I have been looking at doing the LT4 hotcam kit. Would it be cheaper to do both of these at the same time? I'm going to be updating my opti to the 95+ vented ones. Would this be cheaper (labor speaking) to do at the same time or does it not even relate at all???

 

Well, you need to have the front of the motor apart to do the cam anyway, so it makes sense to do them at the same time.

 

DEFINITELY replace ur Opti while ur doing the Hot Cam. I did and it has been one of the better decisions I have made about my car. I also went with the vented opti conversion while i was at it. It is actually cheaper then buying a regular stock opti. I would also recommend replacing ur timing gear and chain while ur in there to put in the hot cam.
