Looking at the "http://www.streetillusionsracing.com/Install/opti/opti.htm" page for how to install an opti. Just have a quick question about what gaskets I will need? This will be my first Opti install

The page lists two Waterpump Gaskets. But, after reading a few posts on the board I heard people mention they need two Optispark O rings (or gaskets?).

Are these the same thing? or will i need 2 Waterpump gaskets and 2 Optispark O-rings/Gaskets?

you can get everything you need in a feltpro kit at autozone/advanced auto in the $20.00 range.

 

2 water pump gaskets GM p/n 10128343
2 water pump drive shaft Orings 12553792
Opti Orings I dont have the p/n [I have a 94 unvented opti you have a 95-7 vented opti]but they are not the above parts..they[or it?] go on the shsft whee it inserts into the cam..
Above parts should be about a buck each or less..
Check the crank, waterpump, and opti seals for oil leaks while you have it off..

 

Anyone know what the Opti Oring P/n is for the vented optis?

 

Try 10474278 I found it in some lists I have.. pretty sure it's correct.. not sure if you need one or two tho..
