Well, my water pump crapped out and spilled coolant onto the opti ( ) and now I have a low rpm stumble and it's very sluggish. I just purchased the Delteq system and the car is throwing a code (most likely an opti code ) would this cause the delteq to be useless unless I get a new opti??? or only if the optical sensor is crap?

 

The Delteq only uses the optical part of the opti, it replaces the actual cap and rotor and coil, which is actually where most of the problems occur. I have a bad opti on my car with a Delteq, and it runs fine. My advice would be to hook the Delteq up and see how it runs, its pretty easy to install.
