opti and crank hub location

Quick question before my assumption might bite me. I didnt have keyed crank hub but bought one and since its keyed and will only go one was as well as balancer on it and the opti has a dowel pin or whatever you call that I am assuming I can put that on with motor being in any location rather than having to locate tdc and or anything else. Again I am limited to a phone until tomorow when laptop should arive and searching is difficult until then. I have read were it dont matter with the keyed hub but want to double check before I install tonight or tomorow. Thanks

Your post is really hard to follow as to exactly what your question is, but the opti goes on like this. If the hub is keyed, it obviously can only go on one way. If the hub is on before the opti, the crank has to be a 1 or 6 TDC for the opti to slide by into position.

Re: opti and crank hub location

Sorry for my long run on sentances lol. The new hub is keyed and obviously only goes one way. Its the jegs one and rather than the three ears its round. So my assumption is since the opti has the dowel pin as long as I engage that correctly and the mountings bolts go in on the opti all will be fine. I did turn motor til the air was shooting out the #1 cyllander so i should be close to 1 being tdc unless im mistaken. And shoebox are you who setup the site you linked too as I will be making a future donation because that site is one of my best friends right now. Just hard to navigate it on my phone. Thanks for any more input and the link.

Yes, that is my site.

Since your keyed hub may not have clearance, I would make sure that it does not prevent you from putting the opti on after it.
