Lightbulb Opti Conversion Non-Vent to Vented

Have any of you ever tried modifying the non-vented Optispark to a vented Optispark per the procedure outlined by John Reed at http://www.fierolt1.com/lt1_95_up_OptiReplace.htm

My non-vented Opti is kaput so I’m thinking of giving this a shot.

If you’ve tried this modification, any thoughts on it?

Is a vented Opti truly better than a non-vented Opti?

Is there a cash prize for posting the ten gazillionth Optispark question?

Thanks,

Finn

basically vented opti is better in the long run because it pulls moisture out of the unit
You can either convert it yourself or getone from dynotech (direct bolt on)
