Opti and Canton Pan question
Ok I have goten the motor back in the car....I have everything in the car ....I am not sure what it is called exactly, the thing that the OIl filter screws into with lines going along the oil pan to the fron of the car....Do you have to run this thing??? The way the lip on the canton pan doesn't allow me to turn these lines around all the way to line directly up with the lines..One of these lines goes to the Radiator and the other to the water pump, Do I need these...if not the what should I do to remove the connection at the Water pump????
The other question is ....I am upgrading optis I have the delteq system on my car...What I need to know is what all will I actually need for the opti for it to work properly...I am thinking that if I just replace the Harness to the computer, because the delteq intercepts the signal from there....that thats all I really need i think.....Can you guys enlighten me on this, let me know what I need...thanks....

That is the factory oil cooler and no you don't have to use it. REmove it and just run a hose from the 2 points it used to connect (water pump to lower radiator) and you are set.

I notch the pan alittle in that area (factory oil cooler ). Your going tho have to notch it by the knock sensor also. As for the tranny lines, gots some NTP -6an fitting, SS line and -6an to 5/16(fuel line size) for the radiator. I'll post some pic later

The reason I asked about the Oil cooler....the bolt that holds it secure has stripped .....I guess I tried a lil hard to get it in there, with it not properly lined up...As far as the opti..I guess I am gonna get the opti harness and an 95+ opti and see if that works. because before the swap that was all that was plugged into the opti so upgrading that all I should need....
