opti ??

hey guys i have my motor out right now and car has 100,000 on it and was wondering if i should do a new opti while i have it in pieces

That's a question of time vs. money.
I myself would keep using the old one, but I don't have money to spare right now. It could last another 100k or break tomorrow. So you're going to have to justify spending money for a part that's not broken, or else justify spending extra time to replace it when it does break. Opti's don't really seem to have a specific wear time, so you're on your own on this one.

I would replace it. The high voltage section of the opti wears, similiar to an old style cap and rotor. I opened my original opti after replacing it and you could see the wear.

I'll secound that, since your there as long as you have the $$ to do it. Swap it out. Better safe than sorry.
