Opinions an a throttle body
Re: Opinions an a throttle body
Are you planning on modding the car alot more in the future? If so, then grab it since its a good deal, and save it for when you need it. If not, then save your money since it's not going to help you out too much.

I don't think brand really has much to do with performance. You will not notice a difference with just a bolt on car. You really need a cam to notice the difference, and even if you have a mild cam, you still may not max out the stocker.

This is straight from the magazine "Camaro Performers". The article is titled "LS1 Do's and Don'ts", but it should also apply to the lt1.
DON'T: Larger Throttle Body on a stock engine unless your ls1 is approacting the 600-horse mark, the stock throttle body should be just fine. Banish yaks day and night about the supercharged cars he tunes that breathe through the stock throttle body. Bill Strope says the same thing about the turbocharged cars that come through his shop.
