opinions on 1/4 ets

Let me begin by saying i have a 1997 z28 a4, with cold air, air foil and borla catback. Weather was quite warm and humid and i know the 60s were crappy but let me show 2 runs and see what people think.

............1st run.........2nd run
60 ........2.210...........2.162
330........5.917............5.912
1/8.........8.956............8.975
mph........81.36............80.83
1000........11.585........11.614
1/4...........13.825..........13.875
mph...........101.48........100.08

any opinions would be great thanx.
MIKE

Everything looks good! Considering the mods, traction and you said bad weather, it looks like a good running car!

looks really strong to me. i've only been to the track twice with my 97 A4 and i ran 14.16@97 on a 2.10 60'. i have no mods though, i'm thinking about doing a pvc pipe cold air intake if that's worth anything. i'm guessing a borla and a cai would get me down where you are!
great numbers! i guess i'd say if you got your 60' down to a low 2.1 you'd have probably a 13.65-13.7 ET. next time, get to the track early so you're one of the first cars to run. this way the big cars haven't laid all their rubber on the line and made it slick; you 60's will drop! atleast that works for me!

Michael.

I ran an 8.19 @83 mph with a 1.79 60ft(motor) so get the 60 ft down with some et streets or DR and you will see a big improvement.

if you're buying tires, i recommend BFG Comp T/A's. they're not the most aggressive looking tire but they grip very well in my opinion. $137/tire shipped to your door from the tirerack. that price is for 255-series so 245's are probably a little cheaper

Hey I find that time to be impressive with minimal mods. With better traction like everyone else was saying your et will drop even more. What gear does your car have by the way?

Your times look good to me. That's almost exactly what I ran my first time out with just a Flowmaster and CAI.
