Im about to get my heads ported and polished here pretty soon. I was told that my shorty BBK headers are probably choking my cam and I should get LT's especially if Im gonna do head work. So my question is with my mods and cam, should I get my heads done first and will my shorties be good enough for my setup or will I need LT's? Im also thinking about either running 2.5'' true duals or 4'' mufflex. Any advice would be appreciated!

 

i'd do the heads, the LT's will definately help but teh heads are going to help since you already have shorties. just my opinoin though

I would also do the heads. You can dyno afterwards and see if they are hurting you much. It's at the higher RPM's where you will see more of the negative affects of the shortes.

I may save up and try to do heads and the LT's at the same time.

Should I go with true dual 2.5's or a 4'' mufflex? I dont think the single 3'' will give me all I could get from that setup.

 

im no "pro", but the 3" should be enough for your setup. instead of spending the $$ on a 4" or true duals , buy the lt's

yea i think you'll be ok...
altho you already know that LT's are better, but shorties are still a decent option to go with IMO

Definately get the heads done instead but if you can get the Lts on as well they wont hurt you as much cuz shorties will get you by but Lts will help you even more,

Like everyone already said, heads first. You should be ok with shorties for now.
