Maybe he sold you the Mobil 1 cap for Corvettes or the one that come with LT4 valve covers. I just bought a set of LT4 valve covers and they came with the Mobil 1 cap, I noticed it didn't fit my stock LT1 valve covers. Sooooo, technically he may have sold you a Mobil 1 cap for an LT1, only for a Corvette LT1

You should have been sure yourself it fit before you ordered it.

No offense what the heck is that supposed to mean? I understand to some extent, but as a buyer you tend to assume to a small extent the guy was telling the truth, and was knowledgeable about the product he was selling...

If you still have the long plastic filler neck extension screwed into your valve cover, remove it and try installing the cap directly to the valve cover.

The Mobil 1 oil cap only fits on Corvette LT1 composite valve cover. It will not fit on the stamped fbody valve cover with or without the oil filler neck. I don't think that guy is a scammer. He didn't know there is a difference between between the LT1 Corvette valve cover and the LT1 fbody valve covers like a lot of people. But I hope you get your money back.

Did you contact the seller and inform him of your findings and request a refund before you posted this? Try resolving the issue before posting negative feedback.

What I meant is, these guys know it doesn't fit so why didn't you research it before you bought it, people with tell you anything to make money. Look into before you buy it, Ebay is awesome you just need to know exactly what you want and make sure you buy it from someone with good feedback.
