Is this okay to use in my differential?

About a 2 months ago i put gear lube in my differential. I put regular gear lube with no gm additive. I just started to drive the car because of car problems. It started to make a clucking noise coming from the rear that feels sort of like wheel hop. I'm thinking because i didn't put the right stuff in the rear end. So i'm gonna put 2 quarts of SAE 75W-90 mobil 1 synthetic with the gm additive. Do you think that would be okay to use?
