ok, my flexplate bolts will NOT come out

ok, my flexplate bolts will NOT come out

I tried everything

breaker bar

1/2" impact gun

1/2" air ratchet

nothing will break these bolts loose. What can I do??

heat them up with a heat gun, nothign stronger though & loosen.

arent those the reverse threaded ones?

ah I don't think I have a heat gun

I can probably hit them with the hair dryer though

A real good impact should do it......650 ft/lb will do it.

Get a block of wood in there to keep it from turning. get a wrench on it and smack it with a rubber hammer. something with a littl e give, not a hard plastic one. Just make sure the wrench is on there square. I think the impact and the vibration is what breaks it loose. This works when the impacts won't.

They do not have reverse threads.

Actually you want something that will not give. I've found a good wrench and a coulpe of light taps with a 3lb. BFH works very well.

Ok guys I finally got them!

After an hour of going back and forth with the impact gun and 2 foot breaker bar with my weight on it. They're all out, and I got my rear main seal replaced.

Now I'm gonna have my brother in law get me some new bolts at the dealer
