Ok well..im doing a 355 with the STOCK (38,000 MILES)crank, scat 5.7 cap-screw I-beams(7/16th bolts) and SRP .030 -24CC blower pistons. This is going to be for a "stock" revving(having cam built to max out around 6krpms) turbo car. Im going with a PTK kit..front mount, and meth,76mm running 10psi on the street and maybe 14 on race gas at the track.Now, I want to bring my block and ALL of the parts to the builder...and get back a complete short block. Tell me what im missing:

stock crank
rods
cam
cloyes timing chain
pistons

arp (2bolt main)studs on stock caps.

Now for the suggestions

PISTON rings...WHICH rings should I go with? This will be a daily(summer) dry,driven car. I only want to run 10psi.(fuel limited) Whats a good boosted set of rings that wont chew away at the block(again..for a turbo car this is going to be "low" hp..maybe 600rwhp. I just want 10.99'slol.

Oil pump?Stock? How bout oil pick up and all that?

And what else am I missing other than bearings(hes going to supply those). I want to bring him all the parts(minus bearings) and say..built this.(ill be putting the top of the motor together) As you can see this is going to be a semi budget engine..to pretty much last me all of next summer to get able to get used to a turbo car..before I go spending 4-5 k on a block

 

If Golen is going to do it let him choose the parts for warranty. Ya might ask him about any upgrades he might have for your set up.

 

well I have everything i listed before...i was just wondering what all you guys were using for rings..and the oil pump. Also..anyone ever deal with golen? chad seems to be a great guy on the phone..
