Is this ok?

Is it cool to run a stock '94 Z28 real hard a few times in a short span of time? I may be going to some street races tonight and possibly in the future with my friend and this guy that sets them up........just wanted to make sure my car would be alright doing that just about bone stock.

It's got 117,000 miles on it and all I have is a K&N filter and Flowmasters.

Need some input; could be going tonight around 10:30 or so.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Is this ok?

youll be fine. i have the car and mods in my sig, basically all very minor bolt ons, and i ran at teh 1/4 mile track. i got 5 runs in, in 30 minutes. yes they got a little worse each time, and yes it would be better if you had 45 minutes between each race for it to cool down, but you will be fine. btw i have 120k on my engine.

How can you pass up street racing?? I wish I could be doing it. You'd be fine though.

Yeah I know, I'll probably regret it, but it'd be different if I knew everyone there...I'd prefer to go with my friend rather than show up with my car basically knowing nobody there and knowing none of the details (also this being the first time I've ever been to a street race)....the guy wasn't very clear about it earlier today when I talked to him. He does it every weekend though.

Re: Is this ok?

me and my friends went through the wendy's drivethrough a little bit ago, in my friends 85 iroc. hes got some small things doen to it but nothign major. some kids walk up from the parking lot, he wanted to race for 400 bucks. he had a "stock civic". but my friend didnt want to. if everything looked cool under his hood and i had my car i prolly woulda but yea, they were stupid. i just looked and was like man u dont want any of this, its procharged with a 150 shot.lol. that was funny. id rather go to the track legally and race people there or just compete against my self for better times.
