oil shot out of dipstick...
What causes this besides head gasket failure? I think it may just be a case of my dipstick being too close to the exhaust. I bent it away some and it hasn't done it since. I've noticed it in the past from a smell and figured out that it was this today. I thought I was leaking or blowing oil, but I'm pretty sure this is where my oil is going.
One other question I have. How can I replace the plastic piece at the top of the tube where the dipstick seats. Mine has cracked recently so it no longer creates a seal there.
Thanks fellas.....

Usually if you are blowing oil out of the dipstick, it is due to reverse compression or in other words blown piston oil rings. A far fetched cause could be that of a really bad clogged pcv system.
Need more info.

so there's no chance of exhaust manifold heat causing this problem? I think its a combination of it being too close to the manifold as well as the fact that my dipstick tube is broken at the top.
BTW: What other info do you need? PCV valve is new. It is the original system for now and the throttle body has all new gaskets up top.
