Ok i put my oil pump on the block..
I have the nylon sleeve holding the Long middle shaft to my oil pump. Now when i flip the block around on the engine stand i see the shaft. Im putting that piece with the gear on it (guessing it lines up with the cam gear and the cam then drives the oil pump). But when i shove it in all the way i cant see if it meets the long middle shaft. I can freely spin the oil pump shaft so i dont think that the shaft and the gear thing have connected..

How do i know if i have installed the oil pump shaft with the gear thing properly?

 

Maybe try installing the cam and upper stuff, the install the pump. If it fits, it worked.

 

yeah i got it...

I guess when it drops fully in and the one part is flush ready to bolt up then it went in fine.. had to crank the crank over while pushing on the gear thing for it to go in.
