Oil pump drive shaft

Oil pump drive shaft
Ok, I'm having a rather large issue and I'm stumped. I'm trying to find a bronze dist gear for the full billet cam I'm putting in the car. The issue is that the LT1 oil pump drive shaft is suppose to be 0.427", but mine seems to be bigger, at 0.47". Does anyone have any idea why my shaft's so big? LOL, ok, no more bad puns, I promise. Honestly though, this is making no sense. It's a 95 firebird formula M6, with pretty much no other special destinction.

Re: Oil pump drive shaft
Just get a gear that fit's your measured shaft size. Call around to the different cam co.'s and find one.
,not a big issue. It don't have to be specifically for an LT1 it might fit a SBC,doesn't matter.

Re: Oil pump drive shaft
I got mine from Crower.
They had one in stock but I had to go to their shop (they are local) as it wasn't listed. You might try calling them. But I believe I posted the part number in another thread about this subject or at least the size you'll need. (It's slipping my mind right now).
