Exclamation Oil pressure situation. Advice needed!

Just started today from what I can tell. I'll make a right turn and the guage will drop to zero and once I'm straightening out it returns to normal pressure. Doesn't do the opposite making a left turn either. Also at the light when it goes to idle the guage will jump up and down and settle after a few seconds. Never before have I encountered this problem. My valvetrain is making all kinds of noise too...louder than normal so I'll be adjusting that REAL soon but that wouldn't account for funny oil pressure readings would it?

Its a 93 so she's old but could it be the wiring, the sending unit, or the pickup? Anyone else have a similiar problem?

Thanks!

Sounds like an oil pump pickup problem. If you end up taking the pan off, just replace the pump, too, while you are there.
