Oil pressure sensor , How to change it

Oil pressure sensor , How to change it

Well i need to put a new one on and i cant get the old one off. Is there a special tool to pulling these off. Just need some help.

Yes, there is a special socket available at most auto parts stores. Using one with an extension and pointing along a line from the brake booster toward the sensor, along the firewall, should enable you to reach it.

As Shoebox stated, it's a special socket. It's a 1 1/16" socket that extra deep (deeper than a standard deep socket). Once you remove it don't start the engine until it's replaced as you'll have a massive oil leak (pressure side of the oil pump).

if it is the same size as my 93 then you can use an oxygen sensor socket,, that is what I used. On my 93 it is located right next to the oil filter

That's not where it is on a 1995 and the sensor is different.
