Re: oil pressure sending unit

No pans have oil pressure sending units. They (all) have oil LEVEL senders, but not pressure.

You've got that confused. The sensor in the oil pan is the low oil sensor, not the low oil pressure sensor. The oil pressure sensor is located at the top back of the block on 94+s, and on the driver side middle/back of the block on 93s.

All year LT1s have the low oil sensor on the oil pan.

I got a 94 and mine is down by the oil filter. Shoebox's site has some good info on all this stuff. It seems sometime during the '94 model year they made a switch from the filter area to the top rail in the back of the the block.

Re: oil pressure sending unit

All years oil pans have the low oil level sensor. On the drivers side, big as hell, you can't miss it. If it's not on there, I would question the engine as it's either been rebuilt with the wrong pan, or it's not an LT-1.
