Oil Pressure sender on a 93

I know mine is by the filter as opposed to on the intake, but could this be a source of an oil leak? Can I tighten it up or just replace it?

Thanx masters.

Later hosen,
Finchy Fo Bob

You can also bust it off during a header install, then tighten the new one up to stop the leak.

This sounds like a good plan It's a pipe fitting thread so you can try tightening it or you can remove the sensor and apply a small amount of teflon sealant to the threads.

Use about 2 wraps of teflon tape on it and re-install it. Never had a leak on my 93 doing it this way.

Teflon tape can be dissolved by the oil. Thread sealant is a better choice, IMHO.

Plus if you get a little too much tape on the threads you will have a hard time getting it to thread.

+1 thread sealer.

Thank you all. I will try the thread sealer in the short term, cuz longtubes are gonna be installed as soon as work settles down.

Thanks again,
Finch
