the kit is great, but i'll tell you this... dont get into FI unless you got money for a rebuild.... I didnt listen to my friends, and now i'm trying to pay bills, and pay this damn motor.... stock lt1s dont like turbos too much....

my buddies lasted a year on 7psi with methanol at 80K miles....

mine lasted 2 weeks (i had a cc306 which is not a turbo cam and over 100K miles, and a really bad tune)

you can have it last you a year with considarate timing, and run it at around low 11 AFR...

i love when i start driving, and as soon as it spools, ppl stick their heads out of their car's window looking if a jet passed by haha....

i love the thing, alot of ppl hate it, but none of these ppl have ridden ina 'true' STS kit... and the ones do, change their mind (i was one of them lol)

PM me for more info, so we dont hijack this thread

Please dig this thread back up and let us know what happens when you change your oil. I know this is not a true "fix", but I'm curious to see if it helps anyone else.

And Seal, thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear that it's working well for you now. Unfortunately, chances are that by the time I get around to seriously considering a turbo I'll be ready for a rebuild anyways, but you never know. I know what you mean about people freaking out when you pass them. A turbo Camaro is one of the last things they would be expecting!

these have a much louder whine to them, because they are in the back away from the engine.... so you can hear the turbo alot more, cuz of this you car will sound like a jet plane

check this vid out
