oil pressure problem

recently i noticed my oil pressure is staying at around 40-42 at WOT.

when i first start the car, if i start cruising and give it a little extra gas the oil pressure will go up to around 60ish. but after the car's warm it'll stay around 40.

at idle it's around 18-22. and cruising it's at 40ish.

even in neutral if i rev it up it stays at 40-42. the only way i could get it to go above that was to put it in first gear, and accelerate and hold it at about 5000 rpm, after about 2-3 seconds the oil pressure shot up to 60-65.

i just recenlty changed my oil but i used the same kinda oil, same viscocity(sp?) and filter as i always do. and the oil level is fine as well.

any thoughts?

What are you using? Also consider that OEM dsh gauges are not great.
