Angry oil pressure problem?!?!

just tonight i noticed something weird with my oil pressure guage. what brought it to my attention was my "check guages" light flashed on for a quick second. anyways.... it looks like im losing oil pressure, but only for split seconds. and the needle only drops after i have shifted into the next gear. under load it stays up perfect. and it doesnt drop right when i shift gears (in neutral) it drops like 2 seconds AFTER im already in the next gear giving it gas. then the needle goes right back up to normal. i have done cam/header install, but that was a few months ago, and everything has been fine until now does anybody have any ideas? im pretty upset, and nervous! what could be causing this to happen??

any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!

yeah but wouldnt that cause the guage not to work at all?? because the pressure increases with acceleration, but only dips down for a split second after i have already shifted into the next gear.

does anyone else have any ideas?! this is kinda important, and i dont even want to drive the car until i get this straightened out.

the pickup is in the back of the pan I believe, if it has fallen off then the slight braking action you get when shifting gears is causing air to get picked up then when you start accelerating the oil moves to the back of the pan. Thats definitely not a good thing.... Good Luck...

I justed posted with a sorta similar problem. However mine will fluctuate when im in a gear. Doesnt happen anytime near one of my shift points. Then it will go right back up to normal. Will fluctuate a little under 40psi then back up to normal. Seems mostly noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear.
