Oil pressure drops when braking? Pickup still attached.

around 200 miles on my stock rebuild. Great oil pressure, usually stays between 50-60 warm. Whenever I press the brakes even slightly more than normal, I lose about 20PSI of oil pressure, then it jumps right back up. I'm using Chevron 10W30 by the way.

I did a search, and figured my oil pump pickup tube had fallen off. Bummer.

I drained the oil, and pulled the oil level sensor in the pan. Looking through, I can see the pickup still in its correct position, I even pushed a screwdriver in there to see if it was loose or wiggle around, nope its as tight as it was when I installed it.

Any ideas? The level of oil was full also.

Okay, so it does not lose pressure when the brakes are actually applied, but if I push in the clutch and remove my foot from the gas, as the tach falls back down and gets to the 1K mark, the oil pressure does a quick dive, then comes back up. Maybe 10-20 PSI difference.

I guess its ok as long as there is still oil pressure, I have an autometer oil pressure guage on the way to try and be a little more accurate with it.

Can't think of anything else except the engine almost stalls and the IAS motor catches it and the pressure is dropping like ya shut the key off or ya may have a bad ground or loose connection to the dash guage's that only happens when braking,
