oil pan

oil pan

I wanted to drop my oil pan and change the oil pump and clean out down there while i was at it. someone told me i wouldnt be able to get teh pan off while the engine was still in the car is this true? do u guys recommend this or no?

Yes it can be done, I believe, if you take both motor mounts loose and lift the motor a bit.

You will definitely have to lift the motor some. It's better to use a hoist, but some have risked it and used the balancer.

I had both motor mounts out and the engine jacked up to change my oil pan gasket, and there was no way that pan was coming out. You will probably have to drop the crossmember a little.

alright lol.. im not in the mood for any pains in my *** this week lol.. i already gotta change control arms.. which i cant find a decent price on

if you have long tubes they hit the body before you have enough clearance you need to drop the k member
