I just changed my oil that had <2500 miles on it and it was black...like night black. It looked pretty sketchy. Now, im not sure if I should be concerned or not. I changed my oil before I drove down here to school, I drove down in 2 days, 2 days with 12 hours of driving each day, then a decent amount of track time. Is it understandable that the oil look kinda sketchy, perhaps something to do with the long drive. thanks. 143k on the block, like 5k on the heads.

surely isn't lean...yeah, it runs rich...i need a new tune just curious, how does running rich effect the oil. thanks for the info
