Oil leak question - opti O-rings?
Oil leak question - opti O-rings?
I'm not sure but I don't think that I have any O-rings on my opti drive. I've just taken the entire front apart and trying to find this leak that I've made 2 (this being the 3rd) attempt at fixing. From what I can see, I HIGHLY doubt that it's the WP seal - no oil near it to lead me to think that's leaking.
So, i'm wondering if not having the o-rings would cause a leak? What are they for?
EDIT: Opti o-rings - http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=350712
Also, doesn't appear to me at least, that the hub is installed all the way. Could this be the source of my leak if it isn't completely bottomed out?
I'd rather not remove the intake right now to get the wp drive out, although I will if it's necessary - not that much more work at this point. If I do that, what freeze plug or other method is being used to either block off the timing cover and/or the block itself?
Sorry for all of the questions at once but this is driving me insane.
