Oil filter removal without wrench?

If I can't get a filter off using my wrench, I just tighten a C-clamp onto the filter and take it off that way. Less mess than the screw driver method.

Why dont you save yourself some cursing and go buy the proper tool? They are not that expensive.

I hate those cup style tools, in my experience, this works the best.
