Oil cooler question
I need an exploded view picture of an
oil cooler from a 97 SS. I bought one off ebay and it needs a screw to attach lines to oil unit(no biggie) but the oil attachment looks weird / I need to see how it mounts on to the motor.

Wonder why it was for sale.
My 97SS came with the cooler. My engine spun a bearing with less than 8 grand on the clock.
Not sayings that it was the cooler, since I had the heads ported, cam, etc.
When I replaced my motor with a new 4-bolt short block, the mech. couldn't locate another cooler so didn't bother installing one.
I'm actually relieved that I don't have one now. I don't know why the engine blew, since I really babied it, but there was some metal debris in the cooler when I looked at the inside.
Don't really know how they work either, but seems to me that they could collect debris and dirt and maybe they avoid being cleaned when you do your regualar oil and filter changes.
