Ohh darnnit all....

i just broke off the number 6 spark plug in the head, at the treads.im pretty close to crying and im 29 years old.number 6, thats the worst one!no getting that out wothout pulling the heads and with 125k on it i might as well rebuild the whole motor.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

headers or stock manifolds? thats not listed in your sig. either way take the exhuast off that side. then remove the heater hoses. after that you will have enough room to get in there with something like this ( http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/mtn7309.html ). then you can get to it with a easy out. so ask yourself. take the header off with the heater hoses, or pull the head. just a idea for ya, thats the way i would do it.

Well as long as some ceramic bits didnt fall in the cylinder he can try to pull the broken off shell. If the ceramic insulator cracked and broke, you would want to get that out of there.

IF the ceramic is in the cyl, and you are on the verge of a rebuild anyway, I'd suggest trying to vacuum them out with a shopvac and piece of hose or bent tube. Keep in mind left-over pieces could score the cyl walls, but if it's all or nothing before a rebuild, you might get away with it.

i used a bending straw taped to the shop vac. that was years ago though.

Ceramic in the cylinder? reminds me of the faulty NGK plugI had installed. Swizz cheese piston anyone?

If you use the racing plugs, they are thicker construction and less likely to come apart.
