Oh look, another cat back sound question: Hooker, Magnaflow, Flowmaster..

I know I'm beating a dead horse with another exhaust question and the only way to judge is to hear for yourself, but I'm asking anyways I want an exhaust sound that will turn heads at mid throttle. Taking off from a stop light for example. I don't want to have to hammer it to get noticed. But I also don't want something that's going to be too obnoxious driving through my neighborhood at 11 pm. I'm looking for a happy medium I guess. I like the look of the single dual tips rather than the quad tips like the Hooker. For some reason, they look ricer to me, like you've added a tip from Pep Boys. But if Hooker is the way I go, I could always cut the dual tips and have single tips put on.

So anyone that had/has Hooker, Magnaflow, or Flowmaster post and tell me do you turn heads and get compliments on the sound.

It's in the sig. After hearing it, you tell me if I get compliments or not.

Hooker LTs, Hooker catback, and no cat.

My neighbors, friends, and wife all complimented me when I got rid of the Flowmaster exhaust ! We can now have conversations while in the car like normal people I dont have any soundclip links, but the Magnaflow system I have is awesome. $245 on EBay. The sound is a mellow rumble when cruisin, but it will get noticed when you "get" on it. The Hooker was my other choice before I noticed the price of the MAG system. It looks and is constructed more like a $400.00 cat back in my opinion, you can see your reflection in the muffler and it's really a straight thru design.

i have a Hooker aerochamber muffler installed on the otherwise stock exhaust and i think it's a great balance of driveability & attention (i too had a Flowmaster once...) it's pretty quiet from idle-1600rpms. imo, accelerating from 1600-through-2500 rpms sounds the BEST, it's got a smooth growl that's a bit GMMG-esque , the tone gets more agressive from 3000+ in other words, a moderate launch from a stoplight sounds great with the Hooker mufflers & catbacks

I have magnaflow. I am debating switching the muffler out of my cat-back for a hooker or buying a whole new Loudmouth one....
