OEM O2 sensor vs Catco O2?

Is there really a difference in shelling over the extra money for an OEM O2 sensor. I just bought 2 Catco ones. I put in one, but I broke the damn tool from summit trying to change the other one, so I dropped it off at my trusted mechanic. He called me and asked why I went with a cheap piece of crap(56 each) instead of the OEM one. He said I am running rich(Which I know) and that the cheap piece of crap aftermarket one wont do anything about it running rich.

Is there REALLY a difference?

It seems to be hit and miss with the aftermarket O2 sensors......personally I would only use the OEM ....you can get them from Dal or Jason for about $32 each + shippn.

I would recommend the OEM 02's. Most of the PCM tunners hate the aftermarket 02's due to they are extremely hard if not impossible to tune. Stick with the GM's.
